A Father’s Joy: A Birthday Poem for Abigail

She laughs when I chase her down;
She cries when I lay her down.
A Father’s Joy
She walks when I walk with her;
She babbles when I’m not near her.
A Father’s Joy
Poo, pee, and play –
that’s what she does all day.
A Father’s Joy
Eyelashes and wavy hair everywhere;
Pudgy arms and fat rolls to spare.
A Father’s Joy
Two-toothed grin;
Frowning when held by those not her kin.
A Father’s Joy
Stink face, stinky butt;
She’s our little nut.
A Father’s Joy
