Happy 11 Months!

Happy 11 months Abigail!  Only one more month until she is no longer an infant…not sure I’m ready for that but who can stop it?

Here are some stats and fun developmental achievements she is making:

Weight: I would guess between 19 and 20 lbs

Height: ??

Head: ?

Clothes: 6-9 or 6-12 month in everything

Diaper: Size 3

Here’s the schedule we are adhering to at the moment:

8:00  Wake up/Formula

9:00 Fruit and Cereal and something to chew (banana, pancake, etc)

10:15ish Nap

Noon Formula

12:30 Finger Foods/Baby Food

2:15ish Nap

4:00 Formula

5:00 Finger Foods/Baby Food

7:00 Formula

7:30-8:00 Bedtime

Favorites – splashing in the tub, peek-a-boo, being chased around our bed, being tossed onto a soft surface, feeding herself, avoiding naps, touching things with her pointer finger

Anti-Favorites – sleeping, discipline from Daddy, Raymond insists that she hates being around any boys except for Daddy :)

Abigail has 2 teeth!!  She got both of them just a couple of weeks ago and they are SUPER cute :)  I thought that the teething process was pretty horrible, but it turns out that she had the hand, foot, mouth virus at the exact same time that the first tooth popped up :(  However, we are very happy that Abigail now has some teeth!  Hopefully you’ll be able to see the teeth in some of the pictures from this month.

I feel like Abigail could start walking any day now!  She’s able to walk with us while holding on with only one hand and she really loves it.  As soon as we let go though she’s sitting down and crawling :)  Abigail loves being able to follow me around during the day and her favorite thing is to crawl through the most difficult places she can find, which usually ends in a cry for help because she’s stuck :)

We have had some trouble with falling asleep this month.  Abigail still sleeps really well (at night especially) but where it used to take her 10 minutes to fall asleep, its now taking an hour.  YIKES!  An hour trying to fall asleep for a nap just doesn’t work :(  We’ve been doing some nap time readjustment, some more calming bedtime routine activities, and treating the standing in the crib as a disciplinary issue, so I’m hoping this phase will end soon!  No naps makes for a cranky, clingy baby and I do not like that version of Abigail as much as I like the happy, playful version :)

This month we’ll begin a slow process of diluting formula with whole milk with the goal of being completely on a sippy cup full of whole milk by the time September rolls around!

Every month, Abigail becomes a greater joy to us as we see her grow and learn and become more like a little girl every day.  We are thankful for the opportunity to be her parents and we hope to be good stewards of this treasure that the Lord has given us.

Enjoy the pictures from this month!
